A Window to the Past

A magical historical novel about London, memory and the lives that quietly change a city.

A magical journey through three centuries of London and the lives that quietly changed its history.

This book is inspired by my fascination with the history of London and people who lived in the past. I want readers to meet them and experience those times as I imagine them.

Story

Book Description

Nickolay never expected to become a traveller through time. Living in modern London, he feels increasingly disconnected from the city around him, drawn instead to the lives of those who walked its streets centuries before. Everything changes when he discovers a mysterious café that offers him an impossible gift: the chance to experience the past through the eyes of those who lived it. Through their lives, Nickolay experiences history not as a spectator, but as if it were his own. Yet what begins as an escape from the present soon becomes something far deeper. As he shares the hopes, fears, loves and regrets of people long gone, Nickolay discovers that history is shaped not only by kings, wars and famous names, but by ordinary people facing small yet decisive moments. A Window to the Past is a moving historical fantasy about memory, identity, second chances, and the invisible ways in which our lives shape one another.
